Rebel Women

Recently I have been, in response to the "Me too” movement, looking at the heroines from the Old Testament. These women were the antithesis of agreeable, good, servile women. The very first was of course Lilith Adam's first wife who was like him created from the soil and therefore equal to him. When Adam demanded she lie under him she refused and for her disobedience she was expelled from Paradise. I rebelled against my family background therefore I set Lilith, the first rebel woman, in a scene of revisiting the coastal landscape of my childhood.
