Several exciting things have been happening;
At the International Print Biennial my series of prints White collar black man won the Clifford Chance Purchase Prize, as well as being shortlisted for the Printmaking Today Prize. In addition to their generous acquisition Clifford Chance has offered me an exhibition later this year in their London HQ.
Recently the Museum Meermanno, House of the Book in The Hague, which houses an impressive collection of Western books & manuscripts, has acquired my handmade artist book Notes from an incomplete journey, travels behind the net curtains.
It is I feel the perfect place for this book as both the text and prints have many connections with memories of growing up in The Hague. The book and one of its etchings, La Petite Mort 10 will be displayed in their forthcoming exhibition on Vogels (Birds).
As part of the anniversary of the onset of WWI, the Freud museum has invited some of the East London Print makers to support their historical exhibition Why War?
I will be showing some of my Child Soldiers and Loss of innocence series.
