Drawing DW56–11/7, 2016, pencil, oil on board, 27 x 30 cm
Summer in London would not be the same without the annual RA Summer show.
I have been lucky enough to be selected several times but it never is a cert and this time there was an additional 2 weeks of suspense before the liberating mail came that my two drawings were hung. Not too high I hope, they need to be seen up close.
Meanwhile on the other side of town my painting Self 2 has been shortlisted for the Ruth Borchard Selfportrait Prize. I was not holding my breath for winning this prize as my painting Self with exploding chest is already in their collection, but I love seeing how artists reveal themselves.
And finally on the other side of the Atlantic I am honoured to have been selected again in one of the best print biennales I know, the Biennale International d’estampe Contemporaine de Trois Rivieres in Quebec. This time they will show a selection of my Crying Game prints.
There are several exciting projects brewing for later in the year but now I say ; Allez hop!
