Looks, oil on canvas, 90 x70 cm, 2016
After eight months of making prints and an artist book I am back to painting. I know this is no great shakes in the scheme of things but I am happy sleeping in the sweet smell of terpentine again and besides it keeps me out of trouble.
You might have to wait awhile for these paintings to be seen as there are as yet no plans to show them but as a warm up there are several shows of my prints and collages on and coming up, in London, Brussels, Falun, Fairfax and Exeter.
Meanwhile if you like to hear how artist talk about their work, my friend the painter Nicholas Williams recorded a conversation we had in the National Gallery one wintry afternoon.
Painter to Painter.
This is it for now folks!
best regards, Marcelle
