Turning point, 2018, 50 x 50 cm, etching, ed 30
Recently I have been salivating over some brilliant print shows such as Rembrandt in the Rijksmuseum of Amsterdam to Edvard Munch in the British Museum and these have clearly given us all an appetite for the glorious London Original Print Fair where we not only can see the great versatility of the print medium but where, joy oh joy, we can actually own them.
Julian Page at stand 45 will be launching 5 of my large new prints, all portraits done in a single line etch which sounds a lot simpler than it is! There is no hiding any mistakes or weaknesses in simplicity….
Hot on the heels of the LOPF I will be participating in 3 print shows, Points of Contact, a survey of seventy years of printmaking in Britain at Austin Desmond Fine Art, curated by Julian Page followed by The Female Nude: Ways of Seeing at the University of Kent, curated by their history of art students.
Clifford Chance has selected prints from their collection for their show Sixty years, Women’s Art in the Clifford Chance art collection, viewing will be by appointment only.
All this should be enough of a feast to seriously indulge and I hope, that like I do, you will.
See you around!
