The London Art Fair is a great way for a kick off and I am very pleased to be showing new paintings and drawings with Jessica Carlisle Gallery this year.
The fluidity of imagination stimulated by my recent burst of drawing has, to my great delight, continued in my latest paintings; I feel things have changed, loosened up, more is said with less. This is going to be a interesting year!
Three composers have been invited to respond to an artwork from the Strange Worlds: the vision of Angela Carter exhibition, one of them, David Greenhorne choose my painting Red Riding Hood 2 and I for one look really forward to hear his musical interpretation of my work.
And finally, I just received a link to a filmed interview between artist/curator Louise Clarke and myself, Louise is a skilful interviewer and hearing myself talk was quite revealing, not just to me but others too apparently.
Hope you will make the effort to leave your warm comfy homes for some of these events, I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
